COMPLAINTS PROCEDURES
Mr. Jason Jamil Solicitor-Advocate supervises all casework.
At Arndale Solicitors Ltd we aim to provide a service that is professional and efficient, with a high quality. If at any time you feel dissatisfied and find it necessary to make a complaint about our services or complaint about our bill; then you will be given a copy of our complaints’ procedure on request.
If at the conclusion of your complain in accordance with our complaints procedure and you are not happy with the resolution offered by Mr Jason Jamil, it is your right to complain to the Legal Ombudsman and you can contact Legal Ombudsman (www.legalombudsman.org.uk)
LeO LIMITATION DATA INFORMATION
We will only retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purpose, we are using it for, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (for example for regulatory purposes). We will retain data you have provided during consultation or enquiries for a period of :
- one year from the date of the act or omission being complained about; or
- one year from the date when the complainant should have realised that there was cause for complaint.
We may use the data to contact and advise you what we will do with any additional data we collected from you and how long we intend to remain your data and the lawfulness of the same.
The Legal Ombudsman can help you if we are unable to resolve your concerns ourselves.
When you make a complaint to Legal Ombudsman, it should be:
- Within six months of receiving our decision to your complaint and
- No more than six years from the date of such act/omission or
- No more than three years from when you have known there was a cause of complaint.

We confirm that you may also have a right to object to our bill by applying to the court for an assessment of the bill under Part III of the Solicitors Act 1974 and if all or part of a bill remains unpaid, we may be entitled to charge you interest on any outstanding balance.

What are your Legal Fees?
At our firm, we prioritize transparency in all aspects, including our legal costs. When handling complex cases that require additional work, we will agree on any extra charges with you beforehand. Alternatively, if you prefer to be charged on an hourly basis instead of a flat fee, we are happy to proceed as such. We believe in making the payment process as straightforward and stress-free as possible for our clients.

What type of Immigration services do you provide and what are your fees?
In accordance with the SRA transparency rules, Arndale Solicitors Ltd publish its price guide on Immigration law cases to take effect from 6 December 2018. The aim is to assist the public in making their choices on Solicitors’ firm to instruct.
This publication is for the fixed fee agreement we expect our clients to sign when instructing Arndale Solicitors Ltd to deal with their application in Immigration Law.
How do I know if I am eligible to apply for ILR (Indefinite Leave to Remain)
ILR will allow you the right to live, work and study here for as long as you like, and apply for benefits if you’re eligible. What are Home Office fees?
These are specific application fees set by the home office when you submit an application for a visa for a short-term visit or if you intend to settle in the UK. These fees are non-refundable and it is not part of our solicitors' fee. To learn more click on the government website : Home Office Fees
